Jackson, a 10 Star Tennis Jockey was competing for his fourth consecutive Intergalactic Gold Ball Championship.  He loved playing from the Floating Tennis Control Chair in his living quarters on the Cosmos Interstellar Space Station where, in spite of the climate control, he was dripping wet as he quickly grabbed his 30 oz electrolyte drink from the coaster next to the control panel, and took a huge gulp. 


Jackson pounced when he saw Bruno - his nemesis since their near fistfight on an Earthbound tennis court 50 years ago in 2020 - lean left.  Jackson went for the kill shot to Bruno's right but miss-hit it in his excitement.  


Bruno sped right and pounded a scorching forehand crosscourt up to the third level of the 3D screen. Jackson anticipated it, got there in time, and executed a delicate drop shot light as a feather to catch Bruno off guard.  But, Bruno was lightning fast and got there in time.  Jackson guessed for a short crosscourt down to the first deck, but Bruno surprised him by launching a moon-high lob up the line.  Jackson was caught off guard.  


Jackson tripped, jumped up, stumbled again, but kept upright as he sprinted to catch up with the ball.  He barely got his racket under it inches before it landed. With no time to think, he took a violent slice swing hoping to underspin his backhand crosscourt and down to the second level close to the baseline. Bruno bolted after it, missed it by a millimeter, and the Gold Ball Intergalactic 3D Tennis Championship was Jackson’s again.  


The 3D Monitor Jackson was laying on his back with a big smile.  The Floating Tennis Control Chair Jackson lifted his electrolyte drink off the coaster, gasped in a deep breath, and had a long drink while still sweating.  And, also smiling.
